25 Common Dream Symbols For Women and What They Mean: Flying, Abortion, and Orgasms

Is anything better than pop psychology? Not in my shady-online-university textbook. Dream interpretation is one of the best ways to dabble in amateur Jungian theory (not to mention potentially understand your own mind better).

Here are some of the most common dream symbols, some of which are especially relevant to women. Get your metaphorical couch out: you’re gonna to need to lie down for this.

Teeth

Here’s a rundown of teeth dreams, according to the ‘definitive’ dream symbol site Dream Moods:

Teeth Falling Out: “Signifies a lack of self-confidence and embarrassment. You are afraid that others will know of your short-comings. If you acted calmly in your dream, then it may point to how can make the best out of any situation.”

Teeth Rotting/Decaying: ”You may have said something that you shouldn’t have. You may have uttered some false or foul words and those words are coming back to haunt you.”

Nice, Sparkly Teeth: “Fulfilled Wishes, Happiness.” Julia Roberts-ness.

Hair

“To see hair in your dream signifies sexual virility, seduction, sensuality, vanity, and health,” Dream Moods coos. “If your hair is knotted or tangled, then it is symbolic of uncertainty and confusion in your life.”

Cutting Hair: “Loss of strength” (Samson, anyone?) or “you may be reshaping your thinking or ambitions and eliminating unwanted thoughts/habits.” Or, you just broke up with your boyfriend.

Bugs in Hair: “Something is weighing on your mind that you are confused about. Perhaps you are making a big deal out of a minor matter. Alternatively, the dream refers to concerns over your public image.”

Driving

Back in the day, we probably had nightmares about wolves. Now, we tend to have nightmares about car accidents. Makes sense, since that’s what’s most likely to kill us these days.

Dreams about driving are some of the most common, and here’s what they might mean, according to Dream Moods:

Trouble Steering/Seeing Road: Real shocker here: “you do not know where you are headed in life and what you really want to do with yourself.”

You’re The Passenger: “You are not in control of your life and following the goals of others instead of your own. If you are driving from the passenger side of a car, then it suggests that you are trying to gain control of the path that your life is taking.”

Driving Also = Sex: “Consider how you are driving and what kind of car you are driving and how it relates to your waking sex life. Or the dream may be a pun on your ‘drive’ or ambition.”
Subconscious be punny.

You’re Naked!

This one is obviously nothing to be ashamed of. Dream Moods breaks it down:

Naked and Mortified: “You may be hiding something and are afraid that others can see right through you… Such anxieties are elevated especially in situations where you are trying to impress others. Perhaps you are in a new work environment or in a new relationship.”

You’re Naked; No One Notices: So, you’re having an emperor’s-new-clothes-moment. This “implies that your fears are unfounded; no one will notice except you. You may be magnifying the situation and making an issue of nothing.”

Naked and Unashamed: “Symbolizes your unrestricted freedom. You have nothing to hide and are proud of who you are. The dream is about a new sense of honesty, openness, and a carefree nature.” Miley Cyrus haters be damned.

Flying

I’ve only had one flying dream in my life that I can remember, but man, was it awesome. According to Psychotherapist Jeffrey Sumber, flying dreams represent “freedom, momentum, or a lack thereof.”
Apparently, if I want more flying dreams, I might want to consider thinking like a man. In a sad comment on the state of women’s self esteem, Sumber says dudes believe they can fly more often.

“Often times, men in today’s world negotiate issues regarding freedom. There is great pressure to perform at work, at home, in the bedroom, financially, athletically, socially, and more and more, emotionally,”  Sumber mansplained to the Huffington Post. “Thus, it has become fairly common for many males to confront their feelings about this pressure as well as their relationship to the underlying desire to be free, by working it out in flying dreams.”

Is he serious? We women negotiate all of those things! (And then some.) I’d pop-theorize it’s realizing we lack certain freedoms that keeps many of us women from flying as often as we should.

Sexy Sex Sex

Hopefully for you, your favorite wish fulfillment dream features sex — or at least the promise of it. So what does dreaming about sexy times mean, aside from the obvious?

“To dream about sex refers to the integration and merging of contrasting aspects of yourself. It represents psychological completion. You need to be more receptive and incorporate aspects of your dream sex partner into your own character,” Dream Moods advises. “Consider the nature of the love-making. Was it passionate? Was it slow? Was it wild? The sex act parallels aspects of yourself that you wish to express.”

Though, apparently, “a more direct interpretation of the dream may be your libido’s way of telling you that it has been too long since you have had sex.”

Oral Sex: Not surprisingly, oral sex is all about a “willingness to give or receive pleasure/joy. It is symbolic of your creative energy and reaffirms that you are headed in the right direction in life.” (Tell us something BeyoncĂ© doesn’t already know.)

Orgasms: According to Dream Moods, the big-o ”represents an exciting end to something. What have you just completed in your life?”

“Alternatively, the dream means that you are not getting enough sex. You need to relieve some of your sexual tensions.” Yup, just like guys and wet dreams, it’s gotta come out some way. We suggest being conscious.

Hella Gay Sex

Obviously, it’s just like regular sex, except for many people, more complicated:

The I’m-Having-Gay Sex-But-I’m-Not-Gay (Wait, Am I?) Dream: “Represents a union with aspects of yourself. It is symbolic of self-love, self-acceptance, and compassion. If you are uncomfortable with homosexuality in your dream, then it suggests some fears or anxieties femininity [or] you may be experiencing some insecurity in your relations with the opposite sex.” Because maybe you’d like to have sex with them.

The Is My Man Gay? Dream: “Represents your anxieties and fears that he won’t like you back. By seeing him as gay, then it would be easier for you to dismiss your feelings for him because you have no chance with him. On a side note, it is common for expectant fathers to have dreams of homosexual encounters.” Totally normal guys.

The I’m-Gay-in-Real-Life-AND-Having-Gay-Sex Dream: “Simply a reflection of your own self.” Pop-psychology FTW.

And …You’re Pregnant

Whoops, you had so much dream sex that now you’re dream-pregnant.

You’re Pregnant and Happy: “Symbolizes an aspect of yourself or some aspect of your personal life that is growing and developing. You may not be ready to talk about it or act on it. Being pregnant in your dream may also represent the birth of a new idea, direction, project or goal.”

Pregnant and Baby is Dying Inside You: Yikes, this is a thing? “To dream that you are pregnant with the baby dying inside of you suggests that a project you had put a lot of effort into is falling apart and slowly deteriorating. Nothing is working out the way you had anticipated.” Um, yeah, because there’s a friggin’ dream-baby dying in you.

Having an Abortion: “To dream that you have an abortion suggests that you are hindering and blocking your own growth. You may be hesitant in pursuing a new direction in your life due to fear, pressure, personal conflict or moral obligation.” Not at all problematic.

Dream Moods concedes that of course an abortion dream “may also be a reflection of your own real-life abortion and thus serves as a way of healing from the trauma and working towards self-acceptance.”

Having an Illegal Abortion: “You are desperate to keep things exactly the same. If the abortion results in death, then it means that your approach to a problem is all wrong.” Or, that you live in one of these states.

Marriage

First comes baby, then comes marriage. But according to Dream Moods, a marriage dream doesn’t necessarily mean you want to get hitched. Instead, it could mean you’re “undergoing an important developmental phase in your life. The dream may also represent the unification of formerly separate or opposite aspects of yourself. In particular, it is the union of masculine or feminine aspects of yourself.”

Oddly, Dream Moods adds that dreaming of a proposal “suggests that some situation will take a turn for the worse.” Probably your sex life.

Death

One favorite pop-psychology theory is that most people don’t tend to actually die in their dreams because it would mean suspending their ego. But apparently, plenty of people don’t have that issue with follow-through and totally attend their own funeral.

“To dream that you die in your dream symbolizes inner changes, transformation, self-discovery and positive development that is happening within you or your life. You are undergoing a transitional phase and are becoming more enlightened or spiritual. Although such a dream may bring about feelings of fear and anxiety, it is no cause for alarm as it is often considered a positive symbol.”

OK, now that will be $120.

The Miracle of 528 Hz Solfeggio & Fibonacci Numbers

Solfeggio tones create music to calm an overactive mind and send us towards connecting with the divine.

According to Dr. Leonard Horowitz, 528 Hertz is a frequency that is central to the “musical mathematical matrix of creation.” More than any sound previously discovered, the “LOVE frequency” resonates at the heart of everything. It connects your heart, your spiritual essence, to the spiraling reality of heaven and earth.

The Love frequency is the “Miracle” note of the original Solfeggio musical scale. Independently confirmed by researchers, these core creative frequencies were used by ancient priests and healers in advanced civilizations to manifest miracles and produce blessings.

Math scientist Victor Showell describes 528 as fundamental to the ancient Pi, Phi, and the Golden Mean evident throughout natural design. Vic Showell and John Stuart Reid (a pioneer in acoustic research and cymatic measurements) have proven that 528 is essential to the sacred geometry of circles and spirals consistent with DNA structuring and hydrosonic restructuring.
528 resolves to a 6, the icon for physical manifestation. That is, 5+2+8=15; and 1+5=6 (using Pythagorean math). The symbol “6” reflects the “spiraling down from heaven into the wholeness of earth.” In fact, the Love frequency can be fundamental to broadcasting all matter and energy into reality according to the laws of physics.

DEFINITION OF THE LOVE FREQUENCY

528 is known as the ‘Miracle’ tone which brings remarkable and extraordinary changes. Dr. Joseph Puleo analyzed the meaning of the tone using Latin dictionaries and hidden entries from Webster’s Dictionary. The “Mi” tone is characterized as:
1. an extraordinary occurrence that surpasses all known human powers or natural forces and is ascribed to a divine or supernatural cause, esp. to God.
2. a superb or surpassing example of something; wonder, marvel [1125-75]; ME <L Miraculum=Mira(Ri) to wonder at. fr(French): sighting, aiming to hold against the light. (gestorum: gesture; movements to express thought, emotion; any action, communication, etc. intended for effect.)
The 528Hz tone alone is associated with ‘DNA Repair‘

HOW IT CLEANED POLLUTED WATER IN THE GULF OF MEXICO

In 2010, John Hutchinson, an electromagnetic energy expert from Vancouver, B.C., Canada, helped purify poisoned water off the Gulf of Mexico following the BP oil spill. He and his research partner, Nancy Hutchinson (formerly Nancy Lazaryan), used the 528 Hz frequency and other Solfeggio tones to reduce the oil and grease in polluted waters.
The polluted area was treated with the frequencies for four hours the first day, and by the next morning, the waters were cleared. They also did four more hours of RF frequency to complete the test. The frequency device was situated about 25 feet up the beach from the water.
They restored the water’s vitality as manifested by the return of fish, dolphins and even barnacles. Nancy said that ‘the water that had been murky brown was a clear green. Two dolphins came into 5 feet of water to visit. Lots of schools of fish and crabs [were] very active’.
Their results were certified by Dr. Robert Naman, President of Analytical Chemical Testing Laboratory, Inc. of Mobile, Alabama. Dr. Naman, an analytical chemist with almost 30 years in the field, tested the samples and confirmed the complete removal of oil and grease from the after treatment sample source tested.

As you can see, the amount of oil and grease “before” the frequency treatment was 7 ppm (parts per million, or milligrams per liter); while the samples that had undergone the frequency exposure measured less than 1 ppm.
John’s method of using sound and radio frequencies nearly eliminates the oil and toxins completely, and has no known dangerous side effects. John and Nancy can clear a radius of about a mile in one 24-hour session.
Analytical Chemical Testing Laboratory, Inc. (ACT) stated, “While the technology is not completely understood by the undersigned, it is clear that the process may have extreme value, and it should be given a chance to be presented and tested on a large scale basis.”

WHO USES THE 528HZ FREQUENCY?

Llewelyn S. Lloyd, in the Journal of the Royal Society of Arts (16 Dec., 1949), described his innate drive to “tune-up” to a “brighter,” more soothing and inspiring frequency than A=440Hz. The British author and composer expressed his preference for precisely A=444Hz tuning, that manifests the C-5-pitch at 528 Hz. He wrote that this 4 Hz higher pitch is more generally pleasing for musicians worldwide.

Recent research by veteran piano tuner and custom piano designer Daniel Koehler demonstrated the beneficial acoustic and spiritual impact of prototype pianos that include granite bridges to best accommodate the higher tension of strings tuned to A=444Hz. Koehler reported most enthusiastically that the 528 Hz frequency resonates most powerfully and enduringly.

In 2011, multiple Grammy Award nominee Amerie produced her new album – Cymatika, Vol 1 – in 528Hz frequency to broadcast genetic healing. Another artist, Scott Huckabay, performs exclusively using the C=528/A=444 Hz tuning. Every day more and more people tune themselves to the harmonic vibrations of 528 music.

In 2009, thousands of people gathered together to participate in the Live H2O Concert for the Living Water. This movie was taken by one of the attendee of that wonderful event. People were playing and chanting in 528Hz, praying for all polluted water to be blessed worldwide.
The Concert for the Living Water was produced by Dr Leonard Horowitz and thousands of volunteers worldwide – there were no large commercial sponsors.

A RECIPE FOR THE PLANET

528Hz is the bioenergy of health and longevity. It is the harmonic vibration that lifts your heart and divine voice in harmony with heaven.
Can you imagine how beautiful the world would be with the Love vibration permeating the air? More and more people are awakening spiritually, mentally and emotionally and choose to be in tune with 528Hz.  This healing frequency helps you flow in perfect rhythm and harmony.
Nearly our entire global economy is built upon a foundation of illness, sickness, and death. The powerful Sound of Love can end the problems on Earth today. I encourage you to use the 528 Hz frequency to restore human consciousness to its full power and potential.
For eons, human beings have felt that certain numbers, ratios, and shapes have sacred significance. For instance, the number ‘7’ has had great significance in various aspects of many cultures, geometric shapes have been associated with numbers, and the Fibonacci series and Golden Ratio are still instrumental in everything from Art to Music.

SACRED MEANINGS IN GEOMETRIC NUMBERS AND SHAPES

Symbolic and sacred meanings are also ascribed to certain geometric numbers, shapes, and geometric ratios or proportions. Through the ages, especially in the ancient world, some numbers had symbolic meaning attached, aside from their ordinary use for counting or calculating. In geometry, figures such as triangles, squares, polygons, hexagons, and so forth are all related to numbers. Triangles, for example, relate to three angles, squares to four, and so on.
As an example of attaching sacred meanings to geometric numbers, the number ‘seven’ occurs consistently in diverse cultures around the world. And more, the religious and mythologies of the world are filled with sevens. Consider some of these:
  • The shape of the pyramids of Egypt produces the number seven by combining the three-sided triangle and four-sided square.
  • In music, the seven musical notes in a scale repeat at the octave.
  • There are seven terraces of purgatory in the Roman Catholic beliefs.
  • The Christian Church recognizes the seven virtues and seven deadly sins.
  • There were seven steps taken by Buddha at his birth.
  • There are seven heavens and seven earths in Islamic tradition.
  • There are seven worlds in the Hindu universe.
  • The seven-branched Jewish menorah is the oldest symbol in Judaism.
The ancient Greek philosopher Pythagoras believed that integers represented fundamental meanings. He regarded seven as the “vehicle” of life. To him, the number seven signified the union of spirit and matter – the union of three (the triple nature of the spirit) combined with the four elements of matter (earth, air, fire, and water).
Seven was also associated with growth, whereby a phenomenon tends to be completed in seven stages, such as the “seven stages of man” expressed by Shakespeare in  As You Like It, or the biblical Creation by God in seven days. According to some beliefs, the human body needs seven energy vortices known as chakras to be open for spiritual growth; that is, one has to move focus from the three lower (physical) chakras to the four higher (spiritual) centers.
How then is the Fibonacci sequence related to Sacred Geometry? The Fibonacci sequence is a series of numbers in which each number is the sum of the previous two. It starts with 0 and 1,which equals 1. Then 1 plus 2 equals 3, 2 plus 3 equals 5, and so on. Why are these numbers significant? Simply, they are nature’s numbering system and they give rise to the mystical Phi, what is referred to as the “golden section” or “golden ratio.” It should be noted that the ratio of successive pairs from the Fibonacci series tends toward Phi or 1.618 and out of this ratio comes the golden rectangle and the spiral shape, which is the most widespread shape in the universe.
The Fibonacci numbers are represented practically everywhere. In the petals on a flower, or the arrangement of leaves along a stem, you will find this sequence of numbers. The petals on most flowers display one of the Fibonacci numbers. The numbers also appear in certain parts of sea shell formations. Parts of the human body also reveal these ratios, including the five fingers, and a thumb on each hand. Fibonacci also can be seen in a piano that produces harmony through a beautiful music. A piano has one keyboard with five black keys (sharps and flats) arranged in groups of two and three, and eight white keys (whole tones) for the 13 chromatic musical octaves.
The Phi or 1.618 was described in the past as a divine number because it signifies beauty and harmony. Egyptian architects made use of Phi relationships in the construction of temples and the Great Pyramid, and so did the Greeks in their Parthenon in Athens, and the Europeans, for their Gothic cathedrals.

THE SACRED GEOMETRY

Simply described, the Sacred Geometry arises out of the set of numbers from the Fibonacci series or the “golden ratio.”  Through the years since ancient times, it has been significantly used in the planning and construction of religious structures (churches, temples, mosques, tabernacles, altars and monuments), as well as sacred spaces (like holy wells and sacred groves), and the creation of religious art.
Consciously or not, humans seem to be genetically programmed to respond to these sacred numbers, ratios, and shapes. Thanks to Italian mathematician Leonardo Fibonacci for introducing his famous Fibonacci sequence, its associated mystical ratio, the Phi, and paving the way for the shapes that greatly defined the world’s magnificent structures and amazing wonders.
Fibonacci numbers, ratios and shapes have been used to explain creation, growth and harmony – from a number of petals on a flower and grandiose architecture, to a spiraling galaxy. And to music lovers, it’s one beautiful harmony of musical scale that pleases the ear and ultimately the spirit.  A sacred geometry!

Easy Lucid Dream Techniques You Can Use Today

Easy lucid dream techniques are difficult to find, especially ones that are guaranteed to work. All the techniques that I use to try would require me to re-pattern and reprogram myself so that my perceived nature of reality would change by using simple affirmations. If you have ever tried this you will know that it is not an easy lucid dream technique, in fact it is quite difficult.

Repeating the words "I am dreaming" over and over again is supposedly one of the easy lucid dream techniques. I did this for more than five weeks straight and did not once even come close to having a lucid dream. I did once recall a dream in which I was at a hockey game and the phrase "you are dreaming" flashed across the screen. That did not even clue me in to the fact that I was dreaming. I only realized it after I woke up.

I wanted to find easy lucid dream techniques so badly that I spent hours and hours researching the Internet and found out what I was missing and what I needed to do. Using this research I formed this list of easy lucid dream techniques, and if practiced every day you will soon be on your way to having your first lucid dream.

First thing in the morning, as soon as you wake up, write down everything that you can remember about your dreams. Have a pad and paper on your nightstand for this. Try reliving your dreams just as if you were lucid at the time of your dream and imagine the excitement and the sensations that being lucid during a dream would induce. Visualize that you are already being lucid during a dream, visualize that lucid dreaming is a normal part of your life.

Reserve about ten or fifteen minutes every afternoon and re-envision your dream again, feel nothing but confidence that you can take control of your dreams and be lucid a throughout the dream. Don't be obsessive about this, just practice every day for a few minutes and again envision yourself taking over your dream.

Now here comes the fun part; eat a light dinner and do not watch TV for at least two hours before bedtime. Just try to meditate and relax use binaural beats and headphones to help you. When you get in bed make sure you have that note pad handy so you can take notes about your dreams. While you are in bed and ready for sleep, listen to isochronic tones, they will help you attain an aware but very relaxed state. In that condition it will be very easy to slip into your dreams and remain conscious.
These very easy lucid dream techniques can be very powerful when they are made a part of your daily routine. The secret to this is using binaural beats and isochronic tones to calm your brain waves and push all doubt from your mind. Think of it this way; do you worry that you workplace won't be there when you arrive? Do you feel like it will be gone if you don't visualize every last room or floor of the building? Of course the answer is no, you are absolutely certain that it will be there, although you haven't arrived as yet.

So can you follow these easy lucid dream techniques and have your first lucid dream? You need to believe it will happen, don't try to force it. Isochronic tones and binaural beats are a very powerful tool that will put you into the proper state of mind and help you overcome any mental blockage that you may have concerning lucid dreaming. Practicing various affirmations or statements such as I am dreaming" over and over again is one positive thing to help you lucid dream but the results are often discouraging and will take a very long time. Affirmations combined with binaural beats and isochronic tones are very easy lucid dream techniques that anyone can use with just a little practice.
